OJSC "Zaporizhstal Integrated Iron & Steel Works"

OJSC "Zaporizhstal" is the only manufacturer of rolled sheets from stainless and alloyed steels, roll-formed sections, can body tin, rolled sheets with polymer coating – plastic-coated metal in its country. By steel output, the company is among 4 largest industrial enterprises in Ukraine. By the output of rolled sheets, including cold-rolled steel, it shares the top and second positions. The works has unique equipment to produce large-size cold-rolled special steel sheets as well as ground and polished strip and sheets from stainless steel.

Structure

Metallurgical division of OJSC "Zaporizhstal" includes a sintering shop (6 sinter machines), a blast furnace shop (5 furnaces), an open-hearth shop (9 furnaces) and shop for preparation of steel-pouring mixtures. The rolling division includes 4 rolling shops designed to produce hot- and cold-rolled sheet steels, steel bands, tin plates and cold-formed sections. Overall production capacity to output steel sheets is 3,5 million tons, to produce cold-formed sections is 600000 tons per year.

Products

OJSC "Zaporizhstal Integrated Iron & Steel Works" produces hot- and cold-rolled coils of carbon, low-alloy, alloyed and stainless steel as well as steel band, light gage sheets and cold-formed section. Among main consumers are manufacturers of welded pipes, companies of automobile, agricultural machinery, vehicle engineering, household appliance manufacturers.
