Cast iron.
The pig iron is designed for further use in the iron foundry in production of castings.
Depending on designation, it is manufactured in such grades as Ë1, Ë2, Ë3, Ë4, Ë5, Ë6 as well as in magnezium-refined grades ËÐ1, ËÐ2, ËÐ3, ËÐ4, ËÐ5, ËÐ6.
Cold pig iron is designed for further conversion to steel in iron foundries during production of castings.
According to its designation, cold pig iron is manufactured in following grades: Ï1 & Ï2 grades for steelmaking, ÏË1 è ÏË2 grades for foundry production, ÏÔ1, ÏÔ2, ÏÔÇ phosphoric pig iron grades; ÏÂÊ1, ÏÂÊ2 è ÏÂÊÇ high-quality grades.
Ferroalloys.
A ferroalloy is a master alloy of steel-alloying elements with iron which is used to deoxidize and dope steels and alloys, dope and modify the cast iron.
